Last week we did several European transports and one of them was in France for a Classic car.
When we arrived at the pick up location and saw several cars and their condition we were affraid that this classic car would make our trailer dirty and maybe should damage it. But it took us a lot of miles to get there and the car had a nice story so we decided to load her in and took an extra cleaning for granted.
It turns out to be one of the cars from the Baillon Collection which became world news on decembre 2014 and was described as; “The world’s most valuable barn find: 60 rare cars untouched for 50 years”. A collection of over 100 cars was assembled during the 1950s and 1960s by Roger Baillon, an entrepreneur who ran a French transport company. One of the cars from the Barnfind, a Ferrari 250 GT California Spider sells for €16.23 million at a Paris car auction. That wasn’t our car but doesn’t make it less special.
